Second week in a row of 3 issues - great news!

I'm trying to link in my mind the link between the theme of fortification (bastion, keep) and the plot.  Is the Infirmary now the stronghold defending our heroes from attack? That's my guess as to how this is playing out, but since I am wrong about every other guess and supposition I make, I will refrain from further analysis at this point.

Is bastion a synonym for armory?  So we have the weapons space and now the main living space?  Or does the keep encompass everything inside the inner wall?  Anyway, Dani's surprise is probably both interesting and sexy.

The bastion is the bit of a fort's walls that juts outward so that defensive fire in multiple directions might be possible.

Pop-up text is the best part of this installment.  Nothing bad, but I was hoping for fun to relieve the tension.  This is a first war council instead.

men till all war stops.  Im pretty sure an end to hostilities would
begin within minutes of the cessation of sex starting.

And what exactly is Mal doing to the shotgun ammo? It's a single round gun.  Is she adding
Silver shavings to it? Checking them for damage?

Ok, it makes sense.  It didn't look like a double barrel shotgun from the side,
And with a break like that I figured it for a single shot.  While on topic; what
Make & model are the handguns?  My first guess is Glocks or maybe Smith & Wesson M&P models.
