Different aspects of the same scenes stand out to us. You wonder about the intention behind the conscious act, and how that might affect the plot in the next two to fifty or more episodes depnding on shading. I got caught up in the fact that we'd never seen her thus adorned and wondered if her personality had changed, or if perhaps some of it was being revealed as the armor is being stripped away (because, for the moment, it's not needed).

If the pentacle has actual power, then yeah, it could be physical or magical armor. However, if it's a true outward expression of her whole self (a self she's let no one see at Wilmot first because of the Incident in Missouri, then it represents her freedom to display and acknowledge her whole self freely, and the emotional armor of sarcastic suppressed rage, aloofness, and liquor is being discarded. She's still sarcastic, but there's joy and if she's feeling free to incorporatre her Wicca self, it's of a greater fullness than she's let herself experience in years.

There's another short, hot, redhead, from backwoods Missouri who's going to Wilmot at the exact same time Erin did? Possible, but a lot of complications arise.

The thought did just cross my mind that it may not be Erin in guest pages 2 and 10. I don't know where that thought is going.
There's a philosophical question of how much one can change before one is an entirely different person, but... well, that's Erin.

I still occasionally have nightmares about that question from my Philosophy 102 class lo these many years ago--even though the assistant prof who taught it was easygoing and interesting. Maybe her attitude and presentation reflected the fact that she was still a PhD candidate at the time and not a fully fledged prof. Anyway, glad to have that confirmed. It cleans up one layer of possible confusion, but there are still layers fo subbasmenets and warrens to trap us if we let them. Fortunately, that's a fun exercise.
