I'll fire the first shot and go the obvious road.  It sounds like the second level of belltower implementation, or a look at Rain in her element.

More Patti Smith..Hmmm Derek busts through the door and Wham-O!  He Gets hit by Control Music!

Or We have a Shadow covered presence who taps the microphone connected to the mysterious machine and whispers "Is everybody listening?  Good.  Its time to have some fun..."

Or its naked musical chairs or the annual Kearsarge week long  24/7 Polka-Rama Festival!  Because really; when I think strange music, I think Polka.. or Klezmer (but klezmer is more strangely... Awesome!:  )

Klezmer Beatles!

I really hope I am right~!

Regardless of whether Erin, Patti, or Bono sings it.  It is still an amazingly haunting song and it still evokes a strong deeper emotional response.  Very nice

Wow.

Okay, I can't believe I completely forgot about the fact that he plays guitar.  Shouldn't it have come up before now that Erin has a gorgeous voice?  Are they always doing musicals in the theater department?

Could someone provide a link to either mentioned version?

But this split panel structure is quite similar to the Rude Awakening split panel structure--so I wondered for a second if Adrian's playing produced a physical visceral reaction.

It could bring out his past, it could bring out her past, it could unmask him--or it could deepen his specific connection with her over and above the work of The Watch.

One thing we don't have is Jacqui's reaction to this.  We see her plug in the amp and goad Adrian into doing something, but not how the music affects her.  It is worth questioning how they just jumped into that song together without warm-up or warning.

Not bad. I still think the Patti Smith version is canonical, but not bad.
