Uh-oh. Oh, by the way, are we going to get a definitive answer about Danielle's troubling comment? For all her experience and openness, I can't see her being tempted to join a cheer squad. Could Mal or Marli have tried it as a lark in undergrad--maybe following an early crush?  And (no, this is not a Robin Williams stand-up routine) did Doc Zenon take his full week or did notice of what happened during the Night/Weekend of the Watch draw him back since he learned that there was an easily exploitable flaw in his programming? |

The more we have this as a universal problem, the more I end up wondering what everyone looked like when they first arrived on campus. As for Danielle, I have no clue why she would have experienced the Mantis Effect (since so far it's supposed to be isolated to cheerleaders, and I'd have thought she'd find the routines too limited). However, interesting question--For which sports do the Wilmot Mantises cheer? They're practicing on what looks like a soccer or football field, but we have yet to meet a soccer or football player. Is Wilmot the social collegiate equivalent of Rancho Carne High (original Bring It On) where the cheerleaders are at the top of the social food chain and would-be jocks are relegated near the bottom for incompetence? |
