I don't think so. The SJI watch has a personality and shifting designs. The Cuckoo's Nest watch was...well, no shifting designs but the glow could be another interpretation of similar power. If Cuckoo's Nest #3 is an offshoot ancestor timeline to SJI it could be the early history of The Watch or an alternate dimension take that's somewhat similar. There have been other tie-ins/hints at other works. For instance, one of the (as yet) unnamed bit players from the Diner (the pickup driver) looks a bit like "Coach" from Sweat Equity.
Eh, voila the birth of a villain. Q went from aroused and joking to surprised to conniving and a potential adversary in...what less than two minutes?
However, this brings up an interesting question that we haven't dealt with yet. Vik was in the same position with Laura that Q was with Kanti. Presumably, he felt aroused by the scent, what did he do or say while Laura was zonked? Did he just keep it to himself, and, therefore, not know the full extent of the danger?
Hard to believe he'd willingly put Kanti in that sort of danger. Looks like we need more information.
Also, how much of 49 is left? Presumably Vik didn't give the whole thing to Kanti, that would have been incredibly irresponsible, stupid, and reckless. He doesn't strike me as any of those things.
