I have! The biggest issue is that any story would have to either start from the beginning, or find a way of including a lot of backstory.

There was a story posted to Literotica some time ago that obviously had its roots in SJI.  The setup was the same with the serial numbers filed off.  Characters were different and the plot diverged quickly but the inspiration was clear.
