So now that we've established the who, what about the what?  I'm thinking that Claudia et al were never as abandoned as they thought.  We know from #401 and #403 that Jakob was still monitoring them, and it's implied that he programmed them not to notice.  Is this the activation of some buried trigger to prepare them for his return?  And what other such triggers might be present in his other slaves?  It makes me wonder what's going to happen when Danielle meets Angela.

It has been so heavily trailed that Dani is going to use the watch on Angela that it would be surprising if she did and it worked.

The key thing about 401 and 403, I suspect, is that Claudia was evidently a necessary cog in Julian's plan to kill Jakob. And if it's true that Claudia can't leave the New York harem's home, that does perhaps suggest that Jakob is likely to be dropping in there.

For what it's worth, I've previously speculated that there might be a connection between Claudia and Astrid, based on nothing more than their German names.
