Your favorite English roadside eatery is changing over to an American-style diner… .and everything's bigger in America.

I'm generally a fan of Satanism but the pacing on this felt a bitnoff... like it was multiple issues condensed into 1.

Yeah, RedKnight's stuff is amazing as usual, but the writing felt impenetrable, and off-putting.

Damned if you do. I assume if issue #1 had only covered the characters in "before" mode and ended where page 6 was there'd still be complaints about the pacing.  Wink

Interesting that it was the Satanic Chocolate and not the energy drinks provided by a mysterious new owner named "Dom," but I'm guessing that might wrap back around in future editions.

Finally, hey, "dream sequence" gender bending and the site didn't explode! Maybe we'll get the BR conclusion soon.

I noticed that too. And the whole "we're changing uniforms" also doesn't seem motivated. Kind of felt like multiple red herrings followed by chocolate.

Hard pass.

What is the waitress on the cover doing, exactly?  Worshiping the burger?  Revealing it?  Playing ring toss with it?

I enjoyed it, particularly the reversal at the end. I don't disagree with any of the critiques, but thought it was worth mentioning I enjoyed it even with them.

Also, I'm definitely in for the occasional gender-bend, if we're voting.
