If I were to nitpick, I'd say something more could have been done with the title in the mind fuckery itself. Is a great title, but I only see one level of punery in play. I have faith that Daphne can do better!

Also... why are there paw prints on her sweater kittens   That's like, an ouroboros of metaphor.

First one is pretty obvious. Okay, I didn't take it the extra step that Priti was a 'being present'. I'm sorry I doubted Daphne's facility with puns!

Second one, yes, she isn't 'present' or in a right frame of mind, which is the other pun I was thinking of. That aspect didn't really play into the dialog or apparent suggestions though, is what I was getting at. Maybe something like, "Is Priti present right now?" "No, Mistress..." "Is Priti a present right now?" "Mmmm... Yes, Mistress!" but I'll admit that exchange is a little heavy handed. There was nothing special in this story that put an added spin on Priti having left the building, mentally speaking, thus no longer 'being present'.
