I think this part's just skills.  Like mother like daughter (though Pearl's approach seems more conservative than Jacqui's...so far).

Might have to wait a bit for the spell part as we shift between three or four storylines here.

We've seen Pearl do... something... with just a finger touch.  Now she's put that finger in a very sensitive place and it seems to have an effect there too.  I'm voting magic touch of enslavement.

Um, no.  Reka's attitude didn't change.  This might have been a tease for recent developments, but it doesn't appear that Pearl was accidentally or purposely manipulating through magic there.
