I think the woman in the bed in the second panel is the cop that Vik used Pink Clouds on back in #438.  She seemed to have some odd ideas about how to behave in #440, and it looked like he left her in a bad way the last time we saw her in #459.

If the police are pushing on the Pink Clouds front now, maybe we'll finally pick up the strip club thread hinted at in #411 and #464.

"He didn't understand the chemistry?"   Isn't he a fellow PhD track student with Laura?   What the *BLEEP* is some loose cannon with a history of unstable behavior doing around substances that volatile, even as a lab monkey?   Does Compton not screen her candidates?

Unless we've started quoting Columbo out-takes, I'm guessing the title of the thread is correct. Although my wife - Mrs GodWilling - she's a big fan of Columbo out-takes.
