This art style is interesting; it makes everything look like it's being filmed in a soft focus. Which makes everything more lighthearted and less dark, somehow.

dammit Geo But for serious, some of the series take dark turns (The Hidden Knowledge is mostly pretty dark), some of them go dark places but not all the time (SJI spends a lot of time there, but Beyond Rubies only seems a little dark for me) but it's good to have stories sometimes that are not always doom and gloom. I know I've read some stories on the EMCSA that are, for lack of a better term, 'sweet,' and I don't know if that's where Enchanted Summer is going, but it could. |
