Have we met Sir Charles before, or has our narrator just mentined him as an employer/sponsor.  The only male Brit I can remember is that spendthrift twit who used Martian...seed to control his rich wife--and he struck me as the equivalent of some of the malevolent Martian aspirants to the throne.  If it's the same guy, ugh.  If he hasn't been actually seen since that mention in volume one--is he an actually beneficent male character?  Pretty please?

Captain Sir Charles Fortescue. Anna met him briefly in the first issue, and he's been sent by the Major to find her.

Sir Charles seems the least nefarious and sexist of the men so far.  It's nice to see the Sultan subtly manipulating the conspiracy around him.

He's got a reputation, does he?

At least he's the only guy with facial hair we've seen who doesn't look like a weasel.  He merely looks like a bulked-up Snidely Whiplash.  Any chance he's got some Canadian ancestry?
