I'm glad you finally explained what was going on in THK. I was thinking it was Brazil, then Argentina, and it fit that vibe of being somewhere in Latin America but not quite familiar. Would love to see some Equinoxian foreign students at Wilmot.
The backstory is "what if the British attempts to seize that part of the world in 1806 had worked out, and it became a part of the British empire." In the modern day, it's an independent member of the Commonwealth. Why, yes, I overthink my porn. I always thought Quebec. First of all, Wilmot U is in northern (?) New England. And the real estate development names in THK struck me as being Francophone.

Unknown Pleasures, The Persuader, Sudo, and Trigger Warning OK, here me out: What if it the same basic tech in each one of those, only newer generations?

Wilmot U is in northern (?) New England. 43.46N 72.01W Is that New Hampshire or Vermont? What I do find interesting is worlds where mind control starts to become publicly known about or possibly as a fact of life. Free Trade Zone has it as a fact of life, at least out in space where they're at, and Beyond Rubies had it start to affect and change society. It'd be interesting if it became a fact of life in D-1, even if it remained uncommon, but hopefully it works in a way that isn't applicable to, like, billionaire oligarchs or governments trying to control society. Ditto for the sort of breast enlargement we see in those titles - they've got some sexy vibes going on, and if it's understood that that can happen to women, well that's quite spicy.

Is that New Hampshire or Vermont? New Hampshire. There's a real-life town Wilmot, NH near Mount Kearsarge, and that's where the SJI town of Kearsarge and Wilmot College is. (Fun fact: I did not know the real town Wilmot existed when I put Wilmot College in New Hampshire near Mount Kearsarge.) What I do find interesting is worlds where mind control starts to become publicly known about or possibly as a fact of life. I think that when MC becomes public and common, instead of the secret history of the world, it's a forking event where the universe splits off from D-1.

Ah, that makes sense. I'd love to see like a wiki or something for your settings. Long term project, I know, but I think it might also help for onboarding new readers on to SJI.

D-3: This is the pocket universe in which Micah enslaves Erin and Danielle. It's separate from either D-Prime (which is where An Education lands), or D-1, where SJI is. Characters can be in more than one universe at the same time, with significant variations. Major changes: Erin's just an aspiring actress with no magical abilities (although she still has huge tits). Danielle is still Danielle. The timeline for Micah is different from the Micah in D-Prime. Does magic work? No. Are there superheroes? No.
Erin shows up in two sets of An Education, #48 by herself and #94 along with Danielle. Per the above, AE #94 is in D-3. Is AE#48 in D-3 as well, or is it in D-Prime with the rest of An Education? Micah and Erin are also together in SJI Guest Page #36. Should this be considered part of D-3 as well?

And Free Cable/Wifi is obviously another universe because of the water that can do some pretty huge changes to anatomy (I'm making the assumption it is technology some how but I could be wrong about that).

I appreciate the worldbuilding, as you may have gathered from the questions I've asked over the years. It allows Hidden Knowledge and Beyond Rubies (and Final Form now, I suppose) to have a consistent, but slightly alien feeling. Were you ever tempted to make D1 and D5 into the same universe? They both fit the 'magic, no superheroes, altered geography'. Not that I think they need to be, since there are plenty of reasons to keep stories separated. Just curious.

It would not be unreasonable. I generally am more inclined to put a story with magic in its own universe, rather than have to figure out how to reconcile the magic systems, but it's a close thing there.
