We're starting on a major overhaul of how the main MCC site works, and we'd love feedback:

(a) What you don't like about our current site.
(b) What you do like.
(c) Other comics sites (porn or not) that have features you really like.

Thanks!

 - I don't like that the title of the main page is Mind Control Comics. I would prefer it to be just MC Comics or MCC for when curious a teen wanders by.

- I don't like the green and brown background colors on the main page. They just seem.. bland? It needs spicing up.

- I don't like all the archive issues listed on the same page as the recent issues. I'd rather see archives on a separate page with series consolidated so that the thumbnail of the first issue is how you access all the issues on that series.

- I don't like that SJI doesn't have a consolidated index.

+ I do like the use of thumbnails.

+ I do like that you don't have links to other porn sites or any of that nonsense.

+ I do like the integration with the forum.

Misc: I would like the coming soon info to be up front. It's ok how it is now as part of the forum software, but it would be nice to have it more easily accessible, or maybe even just a coming soon pane on the home page?

To clarify #1 it is the text that shows up as the title in the browser tab.

I'm assuming that she meant "what other sites do things that you'd like to see here" more than "What other sites would you like us to link to."

For me, I'd like a better categorization system for older comics. It's just barely OK now with the number of older comics, but 15 years from now, when I'm trying to remember "that old comic from the early 2010s, I think it was the one with the nuns..." I don't want to have to wade through a big jumbo list of everything.

So something like MCStories, where you can look by Artist or Author, by content tag (and unlike MCStories, "type" of MC might be worthwhile), perhaps by CGI vs Drawn, etc.

Correct. We're not planning to start maintaining a ton of spammy outbound links. Even if it is a mainstream comics or story site, if there's cool features you'd like us to have, point them out to us!

I like how you're thinking of the Long Game! And this is just the sort of thing...examples are great! (and very helpful)

Dislikes:

Having to type in the adress for SJI if I don't want to hit the back one page seventy times or so.
The title logo.  I like having the complete Mind Control Comics in the title on the front site, but having one word in a round speach bubble, the next in a square text line, and the last one in a thought bubble buggs me for some reason.  Unfortunatly I'm not creative enough to offer something better.

Likes:

The archive on the main page.  Having it look like a box of comics like in a comic shop apeals to the geek side of me.
How we can get an entire series by going to one issue.  At the moment it's great because there aren't enough comics to list every series and issue like MagaFox does.  You may want to link all the one shots together though in their own archive.

Likes from other sites:

I read maga on MagaFox and MagaReader and they have some features that I'd like to see here.  The first is that I can turn the pages of the comics simply by using the arrows on my keyboard.  This also extends to going from one issue to the next so say I finish reading THK 1 all I would have to do is hit the right arrow key and I would be on the cover page of THK 2 without having to close anything and hit the next issue button.  Also they have a standard size for their comic images, but when an artist does a scene that takes up two pages you can click on the image to get a larger version.

The float over pop-ups are not available on mobile devices like the iPad. (You can't hover over things on the iPad.)

I'd like to see those text comments displayed so that an iPad can see them.
