There was a big debate in the PK/O household about your post, Stormrazor...not a heated one, but it is interesting how perceptions differ...being a guuuurl...I assumed Lindy to be the 'hero', maybe I was wrong I found her to be likeable albeit resistant to the control being exerted upon her person...

I also quite liked The Seeker...he was misguided and, apart from (apparently) instigating Todd's suicide, I thought he wasn't a bad 'guy'... And who didn't want to see Todd's demise?

It is also fascinating (to me, anyway) that Adrian is such a "big damned hero" to most members...since he's spent the greater part of the last few weeks trying desperately to unprogramme all the SJI girls..lol! But we all like a nice guy who stumbles on a bit of lucky chance...don't we?

First off, I'm glad you took my post as a compliment, because it is. The story really made me think and examine my own feelings on a lot of aspects of this particular kink of mine. 

While Lindy was the most likable of the characters, her inability to affect the outcome, and the fact that she was killed off removed her from hero contention in my mind. It would have improved the story immensely for example if she had gotten away and vowed to stop what was going on. That would have been a fantastic issue 3 in my opinion. The spreading influence of The Seeker with only Lindy to stop or redirect it. Certainly opinions may vary on that.

The Seeker was misguided, but not particularly likable as it isn't human. Hard to connect to an AI.

I was also thinking about Nick in Beyond Rubies. He is bad in that he is taking advantage of the girls personally, but he comes across as caring for them. He seems like a nice guy otherwise and isn't (as far as we know) pimping them out. So I am able to connect and root for him, even though he isn't strictly a hero.

I got the point that Chuck was supposed to be unlikable so that we garner some satisfaction from his eventual failure. The moment when he realizes the fragility of his so-called "power", his overblown sense of self crumbles and his true pathetic nature shines through again. He had a sweet situation, and he completely squandered it. To me, it is especially bitter having had something like that, then losing it.

You know, Lindy was about the only character besides Chuck who got any development. Since Chuck was so unsympathetic, we basically had to identify with her to have some point of focus. The other ladies seemed like they were just foils to provide erotic content, and the other guys were barely there.

As for Todd, he had so little screen time that I couldn't really form an opinion on him. Even if he seemed like a jerk, I don't think he deserved to die. Though to me, that illustrated how callous The Seeker felt about human life. How it saw all of us as disposable experiments. Especially when it discarded Chuck after he ceased to be of value.

As for Adrian, some might call him a fool for giving up such an opportunity. Who knows, he may still choose to give in to temptation and pull a 180. In the meantime, though, I'd say he is the least selfish of all the characters thus far from all of MCC's stories for choosing to "do the right thing".

I have a slightly different take on Nick from BR. I don't identify with him at all because he is most definitely a jerk for what he is doing. Most every protagonist from these kinds of stories are going to be morally questionable for the same reasons. However, I find them a little more approachable since they don't have such repugnant personalities. To me, it's like being able to find the villain of any media entertaining if they have some class, or can put on a good show. That's versus an antagonist who is such because you hate every moment they are in the scene and just want them to burst into flames.

I have said this before, or maybe it was just in an email to Daphne, but I don't think it matters if anyone wants to call the venue "comics", "online comics"
 or "porno".  I think that both the story-writing and the dialog in all of the comics are excellent and deserve acknowledgement in any media.

At MCC it seems to me to be a team effort between writing and graphics and I think the teams do great jobs in all of their configurations.  Not to diminish the contributions of the various graphic artists.  I think that it's like a TV show or a movie.  Without good writing, it doesn't matter how talented, handsome or pretty the cast is.

Excellent observation! I agree - comics are a cooperative medium and MCC is definitely no exception. Thank you very much for the kind words, and for supporting us in what we do!

Without good writing, it doesn't matter how talented, handsome or pretty the cast is.

Speaking ONLY for my self, I want to thank ALL of you for a suberb job of bringing all members of MCC, THE VERY BEST IN MIND CONTROL STORIES/COMICS, which can only be brought to us by an extremely fine collection of creative people who LOVE WHAT THEY DO!!!

Which is why I like this site so much. Pure sex is ok, but it can be really boring. That's why we've got fetishes, to spice it up. There have been several porn movies where the first time through, I actually skip the sex scenes just to enjoy the plot. "Yard Sale of Hell House" was one like that. Basic plot, but the induction scenes were so well done that it didn't need the sex (though I'm certainly not complaining ). Paris Kennedy's Blue Rain was another one like that - great plot, great inductions, and I skipped the sex scenes the first time through just to enjoy the plot.

Getting back to this particular comic, I'll toss in my two cents. I enjoyed it right to the very end. The mystery of who was behind it made it interesting, and I loved the twist. But the end felt kind of abrupt and murky. Chuck and Heather get stuck with each other, which since we weren't supposed to really like either of them is a win. Christy is enslaved to their photographer for some reason, and Lindy...? The implication is that this thing spreads out (but doesn't say how far), and takes over other people (women only?) and enslaves them for...? Too many questions about what should be our main characters (Lindy and Seeker) that aren't answered very clearly. I'm not sure that there would be enough there to make a 3rd story showing what happened specifically to Lindy, Seeker, and the rest of the world, but it might be interesting to try.

Wow, thanks again you three. I'm amazed (pleasantly!) that we're still talking about this one almost two weeks after its release. I appreciate your thoughts on it, and you're right - the characters were all painted in fairly broad strokes, and there are a lot of questions left open at the end.

I'm especially pleased that jlpicrdh picked up on the suggestion that Chuck and Heather's 'punishment' was each other, since they're (debatably) the worst people in the story. Lindy was consumed by the mind-control lesbian apocalypse because Seeker had taken a special interest in her, and as for Christy...I mostly thought it was funny that way - an attempt to make everyone end up with what they liked the least (other than Dave, I suppose, who made out okay).

But thanks again for your thoughts and your input - it's all been great to read and think over!
