His indicated desire here seems to be...Rain herself.  "She stirs even the shiftless to toil."  Shiftless definitely sounds like an apt description of everyone's opinion of Jakob.  Hmm.  Does that mean that neither the watch nor the perfume nor the antidote have any effect on her?  Is that our next hint that Rain isn't human, but something else?

Possibly. Rain seems dedicated to the university founder's ideals... which include lots of debauchery. Might be both. Spreading MC love and happiness around is a laudable goal, I'm sure we here would agree ;-)

I did think about the immortality part and jakob need Erin Hackberry to use her magic to make him Immortality ?

This strikes me as likely.  Back in #360 we see Rain giving Jakob broken fragments of a scallop from the bell tower.  The implication in light of #671 is that something broke in the tower and Rain was seeking his help as an electrical engineer to fix the problem -- perhaps by repairing the scallop, or by manufacturing a new one.  Apparently Jakob took what she gave him and went in another direction instead.
