That's disconcerting whether it's a flashback to his awkward past, a hopeful smile after or in anticipation of a cure, or something else. Looks too awkward and hopeful for a villain's leer.

I can't tell if I should be impressed that he can demonstrate the social self-control Jakob cannot or chooses not to exercise, or more scared of him.

I am concerned that Erin's going into another uncertain and dangerous situation.
