I think the implication is that it's real MC but she thinks it's lifestyle roleplay... but obviously there's some ambiguity. |

great inner monologue Since this issue was released I've come back to it multiple times and this is what makes it for me. This mechanism to express the victim's experience really works for me (just like it did in Bearing Gifts Found Objects #13 with the (formerly) wonderful Officer Paula Kopejove). She's a smart person trying to understand her world as it changes at her Masters' whims. I pretty much ignored this series until this issue - maybe it's the addition of continuity that makes it interesting now? Issues #2 and #5 are now in my favorites directory. After the payment systems got settled down, this is my ONLY regular subscription. I've tried the others at various times and rarely renew (or even take more than a sampling) but MCC delivers more diamonds than rough over time. And I do hope someday to finally "get" the epic SJI but that's not for talking about here. |
