Yeah, Adrian's lapse in concentration is understandable.  But notice, we haven't heard Adrian's narrative of what happened, just Laura's reaction to it.

Also, looks like one of two things is about to happen.  Either,

1. Jacqui will lose her night because of this new Watch Crisis or
2. If the Watch Crisis is resolved quickly, Adrian's night with Jacqui won't occur until after PK's vacation, an excellent cliffhanger to whet our appetites.
