So suddenly this plot thread gets a little more... interesting. I'm assuming that's Beth and the security guard, in which case, what happened to Vik's cop? And is it the monster doing it to them or is the female cop who's looking in through the door now going to join them? (I'm guessing not.)

At this point all I can think is that Vik did something like this to the cop and, having consumed Vik, the monster is doing it to other women. But I suspect that's not it.

The cop may be in the red monster ?
