Obscure detail question:  is the car with the brake lights on in panel 2 Jacqui's, as seen from a similar angle in issue #206?

No, Jacqui's not in her car in #216.

I know it's only because you didn't want to have to read me going over it again.

Heh! No, it was one of those things that was never intended to be complex, so no reason not to confirm it.

I thought Jacqui seeing the booth empty but for the bottle of Pink Clouds was an indication that Yves had finished his session and taken Caitlyn off the premises.  I didn't realize that he spirited her away from Katie's initial cubicle.  Odd.

On the charismatic villain(ess) thing--Claudia Coulbeck was an excellent candidate and back when we thought she might be the mistress/owner of the New York Harem and the Watch, she would have fit beautifully.  As a member of the harem who is merely pursuing her own limited agenda away from the Kuplers--she's just as much victim as villain (or appears to be so to me at this juncture).

I think it's more likely that Alex moved her to a different cubicle where Yves then found her.  Caitlyn dropped the squid before she got moved, which is why it was in the initial cubicle along with the used bottle of Pink Clouds.

Makes sense--and would indicate that what Caitlyn was hearing could easily have been piped in (if, say, that was Sawyer's "conditioning booth" for new talent), but it would seem to be a waste of time.

Think about it--if Alex's absolutely singular goal is Katie and reigniting "the spark" between them, why would she care about moving Caitlyn to a new booth?  It's more conspicuous to lug a dancer and a patron around and then lug the dancer around.  Dose, program, and whisk Katie to an unoccupied booth where you won't be interrupted.  If she was getting off on the power, why not keep Caitlyn around and share her with Katie after the reconciliation is complete.  The route she actually chose is inefficient, requires more effort and more delay (and she's not big on delayed gratification), and runs a greater risk of discovery.

Remains to be seen.  Do we have a title for 217?
