Réka Réka the circuit breaker? I hope she's not just in time.

I don't think she has the skill set. I would like something to jar Adrian out of this tailspin though. Confronting a ruthless enemy you lose two ways. 1. He defeats you. 2. You get so desperate to win he turns you into him. This arc looks like a short circuit of option 2.
Which means that Jakob could win without ever showing up in Kearsage.

No skill set. No defense. Good night.
I'm waiting for Weston to luck out now because these four aren't going to move. Bleah!!!

The trouble with episodes ending with someone going "Uh" is that you don't know for sure that all is lost.

She doesn't have the requisite skill set. Her guard isn't up. She was blitzed and we have a gem in her eyes. Based on recent experience, only outside intervention by someone else could interrupt the process at this point.

We really know very little about Réka. She must have hidden depths.
Hopefully not though, obviously. Hopefully Weston will come looking for her, get drawn in by Erin, believe he's The Master, and they'll all suffer the indignity of believing it too. Then Adrian will come looking for his slaves and be confronted by his would-be-Jakob counterpart. May the floppiest hair win.

In which case I am sure you will be reassured to know that significant academic thought has been put into such events, e.g. https://people.maths.ox.ac.uk/maini/PKM%20publications/384.pdf
