I guess I'm choosing to be optimistic about this.  I also think it'll be interesting to be formally introduced to this chemistry advisor.

I wonder if the next project will be tweaking the formula on the cure so the side effects aren't so potent, but I can't see a Laura pursuing that with a huge amount of urgency.  She's having way too much fun! Grin

TBH she might be more interested in heightening it, I'd wager ;-)

I don't know if rational thought would be possible if the potency of The Cure were ramped up very far from where it is now.  That could strip away a layer of enjoyment, taking away their capacity to experience, enjoy, and express their enjoyment of the side effects.
