Excellent!  And yet, I feel sorry for both of them.  Plus, double cliffhanger.

The panel ended just as the story was about to begin, and we have no idea what exactly happened to Vik's sister (unless whatever effect 49 has, that momentary blanking is just the first stage).  Hmm.

Oh, and thank you for the name of the pool hall.Grin  Sharkey's.  Well, now is Sharkey the last name of the owner, a nickname the owner picked up because of pool prowess, or is the owner just a Burt Reynolds fan?CheesyGrin

Incidentally, who is the owner?  Is Q's last name Sharkey?  I wouldn't think he'd be so cheap as to take his girl of the moment to his own place--and his style doesn't match the aesthetic sense of the pool hall, but...inquiring minds want to know.

Insert clever phrase or quotation here.

God, I love the way you write dialog, Daphne.  Instead of "Full Disclosure", I think a better title would have been, "OK I'm back. So, here's the story...".  But maybe you have a rule against using lines from the story as titles.

Or possibly add "...soon" to the beginning of the pop-up text, since we're teased that disclosure of important information is about to happen and is happening elsewhere, but hasn't happened yet.

Thanks! But why do you feel sorry for them? They seem to be having fun...

Whatta woman!

God, I love the way you write dialog, Daphne.

I'll second that. Third, even.

I'd also like to support the declaration concerning dialogue.

As to why I said I felt sorry for them...let me give it a shot.

I have no doubt that Jacqui can and does compartmentalize, however she obviously didn't during the lustpile when Adrian and Dani were on the field trip to Derek's.  So, worrying about her daughter is hampering her enjoyment of the encounter...and her anxiety is preventing Adrian from fully committing to the activity.  So, he's not performing as well as he might, and she's not able to fully enjoy what he is able to accomplish.  I like the tie-in and the fact that Adrian shows genuine concern for Jacqui.  Furthermore, the conversation provides an excellent reason why we only heard the exclamations of the encounter during Pearl's reappearance, but I had hoped that they would be able to fully enjoy themselves.  Anyway, I end up with the impression that Jacqui didn't enjoy the storeroom encounter as much as that splash shot lustpile with Erin, Mal and Marliese.  Just my impression.

The offhand remark about restocking the shelves doesn't enter into this because it doesn't materially affect either Jacqui or Adrian's state of mind.

On a side note--exactly what type of business is this?  I thought it was just a classic record store, but that Sony box looks like it goes to a full-on entertainment center and the box on top of that is labeled Wine.Huh  Is there some sort of audio company that has "Wine" as part of its name, or do they really store (and presumably sell) wine and state-of-the-art sound systems at a classic record shop? Huh

ETA--Is Pearl Pearl or Miriam, or does it depend on the situation and environment of the discussion? Huh  I tend to favor Pearl, but back in Heavy Odds Erin called her "Miriam," and now, 10 minutes later in Full Disclosure, she calls her "Pearl."  What?

Jacqui calls her daughter Pearl; the daughter calls herself Miriam.

I think Jacqui is, as of right now, the most awesome character in the series:  strong-minded, driven, able to handle a bunch of things at once, and totally hot.

I love how Jacqui's expressions of, uh, delight lined up with those from the issue that Pearl/Miriam reentered Deep Black Vinyl.  Though given the events in that episode, Jacqui won't have much time to tell the full story before she leaves the room to talk to her daughter.

I'm glad that it looks as though we're returning to the Infirmary, now that evening has arrived.  We haven't seen Danielle since this morning (SJI time, which is about 2 months in real time), and Mallory at all since she was arranging the Thursday thing with Laura.  As intrigued as I am with the Kanti/man in black subplot, and with finding out about Pearl, I am interested to see what happens when they get back home.

SJI is so good, I wish it were possible to have a new strip every day.  I know that's physically impossible, but I tell you, I would pay a lot more in subscription fees just for frequent SJI.  Daphne, Plutonian Knight and Octavia Moon, I salute you.

Daphne, the praise is richly deserved.

As for Pearl's identity, I know Jacqui calls her Pearl and she calls herself Miriam.  That's fairly straightforward.  I'm confused by what "neutral" parties call her.  As I indicated earlier, Erin can't decide what to call her.  In Heavy Odds, Erin refers to Jacqui's daughter as Miriam in a conversation with Adrian at Sharkey's.

However, in Full Disclosure, Erin refers to her as Pearl in a continuation of the same conversation with Adrian after they leave the pool hall.  So, what name do Erin and Adrian consider to be the grad student's actual name? Huh

That was well-thought-out, and thank you for it! Jacqui being less enthusiastic because of outside distractions had never occurred to me. To be completely fair, though, once you've been lustpiled by Erin, Mal, and Marliese, regular old stockroom sex will never seem as exciting again.

I thought it was just a classic record store, but that Sony box looks like it goes to a full-on entertainment center and the box on top of that is labeled Wine.Huh

Record stores need equipment to play music on...and are you sure that box says 'wine?'

I think Jacqui is, as of right now, the most awesome character in the series:  strong-minded, driven, able to handle a bunch of things at once, and totally hot.

She is pretty great. I really like her too. Sort of like Erin, but all grown up?

SJI is so good, I wish it were possible to have a new strip every day.  I know that's physically impossible, but I tell you, I would pay a lot more in subscription fees just for frequent SJI.  Daphne, Plutonian Knight and Octavia Moon, I salute you.

Thanks, man. That kind of praise means a lot to all of us - you made our days with it!

I'm confused by what "neutral" parties call her.

I call her 'Jacqui's mini-me', but she doesn't like it. As far as I understand it, Erin and Adrian don't really know Miriam/Pearl, so the nomenclature might shift around until they get comfortable with something.

Thanks again for all the comments (and compliments!) - much appreciated!

Nice, and here I thought we wouldn't be able to see her first sex scene.
