Title: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Daphne on August 01, 2012, 09:44:27 am Coming August 3rd!
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 01, 2012, 10:54:18 am And this one seems totally inscrutable at first blush. Could be the return of Adrian and Erin to the SJI (though I have no idea what it might mean). It could be a flashback to Laura's experience with the Scent Lure sample (an important missing puzzle piece). It could track Zenon and Amy or Zenon with one of his other patients/thralls/experiment subjects/whatever. We could be back to Kanti in the aftermath of Querek's seemingly predictable next request. Just about 37 hours till we get our answer.
Also now that we've hit 98 and we're a little over two weeks from the triple digit edition, I feel justified in asking--What's the plan?;D ;D Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Daphne on August 01, 2012, 11:13:15 am Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 01, 2012, 02:43:58 pm For the one hundredth installment. A portion of the SJI fanbase (including me) has been quietly laboring under the impression that issue #100 would be significant (to mark the milestone). This singificance might take the form of an exceptionally large update, or a member bonus, or something else. The exact form of the significance was unclear in our minds. Nevertheless, we've been eagerly anticipating the landmark issue. So, since we're about 16 days away, I thought I'd ask what the plan was for issue #100.
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Tony on August 01, 2012, 03:09:01 pm I'd think the plan is simple. They plan to use one more digit to represent the number. :D

Foiled again! Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 01, 2012, 08:14:21 pm You're planning to reveal something you added to the addresses of the comics pages more than a month and a half ago as part of the filing redesign and update? :D
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: laguna85 on August 02, 2012, 10:03:56 am I'm think of flash page with sign of 100 page with all woman nake. himm
be nice clean there minds out or not take presser? ??? Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 03, 2012, 04:31:34 am Okay, um fortunately or unfortunately, she says steam vent and the first things that pop into my head are the song "Steam Heat" and grate scene from Seven Year Itch--and I'm sure Daphne's spins on either would be quite interesting.
However, here I must apologize and ask a question. Who's the new arrival dressed like the Wilmot mascot? That hair doesn't look like Maddy's shade, or Amy's (or by extension, her twin sister's). I even checked the Pink Van twins from Swing Shift. No match. So far as I know, there aren't any other blondes we've been introduced to yet. So, who is that, and when and why was she originally invited over? ??? Not complaining, just curious. Oh, side note--is leopard print Mallory's clothing tell? Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: mns_95125 on August 03, 2012, 08:49:20 am I think it's Caitlyn. Her hair is brown and the ant head looks like the kind of stupid school spirit thing you'd find in a cheerleading squad.
My question is different: what happened to Danielle's nipples? The angle looks wrong for them to just be out of sight. Hey! Don't dis the Mantis! :) Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Tony on August 03, 2012, 10:57:12 am Well, you've added a really big clue as to the current date for the timeline. I'm wondering if you're aware of what you did or whether it was artistic licence?
I'm pegging the date of the "current happenings" for Adrian and Erin around Jan 26th or 27th 2012. If the timeline is closer to Jan 12th, as in that BIG thursday night that was circled, then we need to talk to the artist about depicting night scenes properly. BTW, that's a really nice full moon you have there... :-* Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Daphne on August 03, 2012, 12:30:14 pm Time in SJI is impressionistic, not realistic. :)
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Tony on August 03, 2012, 12:53:16 pm I kinda figured that too big moon was there just to make the picture prettier. ;D
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: elbenton on August 03, 2012, 03:59:36 pm Obviously, Danielle is inverted and her breasts are pointing at the floor with her nipples barely out of sight. The stretch marks drawn on the underside of her breasts depict this. I am also curious as to how Danielle is holding on to the pole. Unless her left foot is attached to something just outside the upper border of the frame, she appears to be either levitating or in the process of falling.
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: Tony on August 03, 2012, 04:33:34 pm It seems obvious to me that her foot is gripped to the pole. You need to visit more strip clubs. ;) I've seen girls hang on the pole with their legs straight and locked together. Danielle has her body pressed against one side of the pole and her foot on the other side. She also looks like she could be using her left arm for additional pressure. In E80, she was doing it with both legs and her back, which is my mind is much more impressive. :o
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 03, 2012, 05:49:52 pm Just two visual examples of why that home ec class was distracting for her classmates in high school. Wow. :o
Presumably gym class was similar. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: mns_95125 on August 03, 2012, 10:58:29 pm Hey! Don't dis the Mantis! :) I have this vision of a future comic in which Adrian opens the door saying something like "I don't think today could get any more surreal" only to be faced with Caitlyn on the stripper pole wearing nothing but the mantis head. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: elbenton on August 04, 2012, 03:52:54 am You need to visit more strip clubs. ;) If I did that, I wouldn't be able to afford my MCC subscription (or groceries). Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 98: Steam Cleaning Post by: jmundt29 on August 19, 2012, 04:19:25 am Oh, I forgot to ask...what state is Kearsarge in? If it's Connecticut, the use of the European Mantis as school mascot could be partially written off as state pride. It is, after all, the state insect.
