Actually, I just realized an interesting question to my question about serial recruiting. What is Danielle's current mental state? I know she got her programing interrupted by Adrian. So is she actually awake, partially awake, or entranced? It seems to me that what Derek did to Danielle triggered her old conditioning (it was speculated that she was previously brainwashed), and is not fully awake. However, she seems to be aware of this fact and knows the trigger. So I'm speculating that since Danielle is on "semi-autopilot" to make Adrian happy, her hypnotized mind reasons that the logical course is to use the same trigger to put Erin in a trance and have her serve Adrian.
