What side effect
In Europe, merry-go-rounds (as they are most often referred to in those countries) usually turn clockwise (see photograph at top), while in North America, carousels typically go counterclockwise (anticlockwise)

So Europe

The last scene is hilarious.  Yves grumbling to himself while dealing a hand of Solitaire is a wonderful touch.

So Kanti... doesn't care that Q dosed her, or is just too overcome by the 'side effects' to do anything about it right now?

Can't tell.  It could be either, or this could indicate that this thing is a placebo with an aphrodisiac kicker.

Whatever it is, the compound that Laura et al. created seems to be about as powerful as Pink Clouds in the first place, only it results in an apparently irresistible horniness even when there are a few leftover fumes in the room.

I wonder if Laura just made herself a bajillion dollars once all the IP and patent issues are sorted out.  Or gets thrown in jail for creating a class A illegal narcotic.  Or both.

If it's a narcotic, a very tough one to explain.  PC itself could be considered a cousin of scopolamine.  This would defy description, unless the classifier were a Twilight Zone fan.

One other note.  Laura seems to be reacting to Kanti's dose which she administered without wearing a mask.  It's not leftover dregs.  Additionally, the side effect could be an amplification or intensification of women's reactions to the belltower broadcast.

If For-Q is a placebo, why did Amy's perspective on Vik change after she was exposed to it?

It must suck to be Yves.  Four beautiful women, three men and a chemical that causes irresistable horniness, and he's playing solitare.  That's.gotta hurt.

Perhaps it doesn't remove Pink Clouds conditioning at all - and Amy was conditioned to react that way to make certain parties believe it does. That scenario would have Vik and Q working in tandem, which would make lots of things make sense.

I find that highly unlikely.  Vik was trying to shoot people earlier, you don't introduce gunfights into situations that you're trying to control the outcome of like that.

Unlikely perhaps but surely not highly so in the context. Is Julian going to follow Adrian around everywhere with a gun now, or is he only going to be in exactly the right spot when he somehow knows he's going to be needed?

Q - apparently the inventor of Pink Clouds - got out of prison, came back to Kearsarge and, before Jacqui even knew he was back, hooked up with Kanti. Her brother just happened to be working on perfumes and he suddenly hit upon something very similar to Pink Clouds. That seems quite unlikely, I'd say.

Q has lied to Kanti. He lied to Yves (I think) about having disposed of Vik's perfume sample and about his intention not to get involved. He may perhaps have set Vik up rather than be working with him, but we know he's a liar. Alex got the Pink Clouds in a Princess Pink delivery made using Q's alarm code, and it just happened to be Yves who wound up with Caitlyn on Saturday night. Which is why we're here now watching Q so not being the perpetrator of all this but rather the hero. Vik may not have Amy but he presumably still has Alex and Katie, and he knows how to make Pink Clouds.

And of course in the next episode Kanti will confront Q about what he did to her...
