I think it's bugged. When i tried hypnotizing Emma, she sometimes just repeated the same lines over and over again. As for Lorelei, nothing yet.

I didn’t closely follow Emma’s and Lorelei’s conversations in Chapter 5 before the update. I "think" I noticed slight changes to the Entranced Emma interaction: the mind-control choices appear in a different order, and you can control her more times, though the dialogue stays mostly the same. Lorelei’s interaction seems unchanged. There’s a new dialogue option with Renee, though.

When Daphne mentioned “hidden paths,” I somewhat expected slighly more noticeable changes. It’d help if the scope of those paths was clarified so we can tell whether they’re bugged again. I’d love to be proven wrong and find they’re just extremely niche and hard to trigger.
