Oh come now, can't we have a little fun? Harold could be:

  • Alex, because not all 3 models would fit on one page.
  • Classified as an NPC, but charming enough to warrant his own mention.
  • A manifestation of The D20's powers.
  • An x-tra dimensional entity that inserts itself into roll playing games as a real lark.

So my tongue-in-cheek question still stands, not that I expect or want Daphne to come through with answers.

Aww, but Raks are fuzzy-wuzzy, hedonistic, mental-powered, murder hoboes! Who doesn't love that?

Harold could also be a shout-out to Harold Ramis who once took part in writing a dead John Belushi into a film as the floating head-monster popularly known as Slimer.

The discussion of the "Spring 2023 Catalog" bonus material and how it lacks descriptions, pricing, contact info, etc, reminded me of how I felt a little disappointed not to get even even abbreviated statblocks for the characters in this.  It's churlish to complain, looking a gift horse in the mouth, etc., but it's another data point in terms of audience feedback?
