We are celebrating twelve years of Saint James Infirmary! As a special event, we interrupt our regular story with a series of small pieces set in alternative worlds. Each one is "What If the SJI girls were characters in other MCC titles?"

I find it not especially surprising that I don't immediately recognize which title this is, but a little more surprising that no one else seems to and that Daphne hasn't jumped in to clarify or explain, which makes me wonder if it's meant to be some kind of puzzle?

It's a bit of a synthesis, but we'll call it an alt-universe Cuckoo's Nest with more gothic design aesthetic.

Now I'm trying to decide which other comics might be interesting for a similar mashup.  My initial list is: Beyond Rubies, The Chrysalis, Con 'Fused, Free Trade Zone, Trigger Warning and Waiting Room.
