I thought, for sure, that the cat would greet him kindly before discovering that Sir Konrad is dead.

Then, suddenly playful and flirtatious, she would indicate that her husband was away before, as a pleasant surprise to him and the reader, bed him.

Achievement achieved: kick off an empire of cat people.
