He did screw India's mind pretty well, although mostly with prodding from Pamela. He is just starting out & getting the hang of it though, judging by the last pages.

I found the girlfriend's response interesting, where she can't get enough of her boss, and resisted for a moment when the boyfriend tried to supplant him in her head. I could easily be way off base, but, it almost felt like the boss had messed with her mind already, and that's what had engendered her feelings toward him.
