One topic of interest to me is the importance of music in mind control.  Music can be a direct vehicle of control (Audiophile comes most quickly to mind) or it can really set the mood in any movie mc scene.

So my question is:  if you were creating a erotic mc scene in a movie, what real life music would you use to either be the mind control agent, or be the the suggestive soundtrack that sets the mood?  Needless to say, different songs/ types of music would be appropriate to the different modes of mind control (slow seduction vs. outright direct domination).

Thoughts?

Probably low-key synthwave. Or like Trentemøller or something.

There's the electronic warbling sound in the Preparation Room scene from Our Man Flint.  I presume that was in-universe.

Then there's the theme from MCT's own Employee Orientation.  I always thought that had a sort of "dreamy" quality to it that could prove useful in a Hypnotic seduction/conditioning scene.

Hope that helps.

I think it depends on the situation and HOW you want to portrait it.

For example, one song that creeps me out is Louis Prima's "Enjoy Yourself" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kisr3daNRx0), but not this one specifically. The one used on House M.D., at the bar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L-JFdpw0x0), when House sees Amber and states that he's officially losing his mind.

The song matters but what sells it is HOW is used. And really sorry for the necroposting.

Is the scene supposed to be sexy or scary?

In-universe, psychedelic trance (it's right there in the name!) would be a brilliant vehicle for audio MC.

For backing music, Laura Branigan's rendition of "Self Control" (watch the official music video!) springs immediately to mind, and Front 242's "Moldavia" could work pretty well, using both the character of the synth bassline and the lyrics "Human fly gets in your ear / human fly gets to your brain / human fly sticks on your nerves / grips on your blood pressure / drives you to more pleasure"...
