It tends to be a reference point among fans, though most of the time, Daphne refers to her as Miriam (though I don't know if this is because the character self-identifies that way or as a reference to the damage that Jakob inflicted that made her other than the Pearl from Jacqui's memories and photos).
The photos and memories we have make the pair of them seem like an indie rock/sexually adventurous/cooler version of the Gilmore Girls before Jakob's intervention split them apart and led Pearl to turn her back on her birth name. Just my read, though. And I've been known to be very VERY wrong about a lot of things in SJI.
