This is one of those stories that I want the next chapter right away.  Love the story and the art.

2 for 2...this is definitely the best title you've got going on this site. Worth the seemingly interminable wait. This story has plenty of promise to develop, without the exposition & suspense that seem to be built into several of the other storylines on this site.

But maybe that's the pattern. Daphne, this title and "Bearing Gifts" (and to a lesser extent, the older "Obedience") are in my opinion the best things you've written in comics form. And i don't think that's a coincidence.

Judging just by what we've seen so far, your work is strongest when you stay in the "real world." (don't know about you, but my real world doesn't include mind-controlled slavegirls...at least not yet).

Sure, comics are all about sci-fi and fantasy and alternate history and all that. But your MC stories have been the strongest when the MC is the star, not the world around it. Of course, this is all subjective, but so is all art & creativity. And of course, who knows what's coming in some of your other titles; you may prove me totally wrong.

Love to know what you and other members think about this. But in the meantime, this was a tremendous issue and i can't wait to see what's next.

No, i'm serious...i can't wait. I want the next issue NOW!!!

WOW!!!  What a story so far, can't wait to see who Daffd will seduce and enslave with the "magic words" he found in the mysterious book he "found".  The artwork is as always SPECTACULAR!!!

Looking forward to a (I hope)m a continuation of "Bearing Gift's"!!  That's another GREAT story and artwork.

Best comic on the site.  Can't wait for the next chapter.  Also, I must say, I like the drawn comics a lot better than the Poser stuff.

Just going to echo what everyone else has already said. The best comic on the site, by far. The perfect combination of hand drawn art and unrepentant male-dom story. More comics like this please. Oh, and a MCT film version of this would be good too. :)

Ditto.  Best story on the site by far.  I enjoy the developing plot as he begins to place long term commands.  Like everyone else, cannot wait for the next issue.

Also, kudos to two comics a week.  Turning out to be the best stop for mc art.

Must echo everyone else and say that this is the best comic MCC has running.  Tend to agree with the post above that comics in the "real world" work better--although oddly enough, I enjoyed the other comic set in Victorian England.  This one has great pacing, outstanding artwork, and top-notch MC action.  Hope we don't have to wait two months for Part 3.

It's a great comic with great art and a good story--but, as entertaining as I find it (and it is my favorite title on the site), I'm a little disturbed that Daffyd went from trying it out as a joke, daydreaming, and then trying it out for real with a stanger once  and being disappointed when she bolted in Issue #1 to "Absolute power corrupsts ABSOLUTELY!" in Issue #2.  He deliberately tried to get away with the most he could, instead of using it as a tool and gradually getting tempted.  Additionally, the rumblings of consequences didn't seem to register with him.  It just felt like he was heading toward a nadir too quickly.  Obviously, this isn't a widely held opinion and I still enjoy the comic immensely, but I'd like to see more of the sensitive guy Daffyd is or was. :-\

I agree with everyone else totally. Best comic Evah! I love the woman on the bus's reaction to her total disclosure of what she's into.  the only thing I'd add to that panel would be if he put a dog collar around her neck and let her discover she was wearing it herself when he left.  I love the shock/surprise/trying to resist factor in this comic.  Simply Amazing!!  I agree with everyone else in hoping we dont have to wait too long for the next installment.  I can't wait to see what (and who) he does next :)

Please, let's not make Daffyd sensitive.  Please.

Everything about this issue was excellent.  As I said above, the pacing was brilliant.  I very much like how his coworker in the library was MC'd one step at a time--get naked, fuck, agree to keep fucking.  The struggle of the redhead at the end, and her eventual surrender, was wonderful.  And did I mention the artwork was top notch?  Really brilliant.

I didn't mean make him a poet laureate or make him hate his own masculinity.  I meant, avoid making him despicable.  The pacing is good, the art is great, the story is interesting.  If you go the whole hog with the idea that "Power corrupts.  Absolute power corrupts absolutely," and you don't do it in gradual stages, you end up with a comic about some very lucky villain who gets to control all these women.  Entertaining to look at but after awhile, you end up hoping his thralls will rip him in half.  Not good.

As someone on the other forum once said, "Conscience is the cancer of MC stories," which is to say, moral dilemmas on the part of the controller are a turn off. I can think of only one story where the main character having second thoughts about taking advantage was done effectively (that would be Good to the Last Drop) and even in that case, he only thinks about it, and continues to fuck everything that moves. A moral person wouldn't use MC, PERIOD. This sliding scale of still an alright guy but an MC'er is what gets us all those romantic MC stories where you control the person who already loves you to love you even more.  Ridiculous. Unrepentant till the end for me, thank you very much.

A moral person wouldn't use MC knowingly.  What about a story in which a moral person uses MC unknowingly for a time and only figures out what's going on once he's in too deep to stop easily?  (An example of such a story from the EMCSA would be Downing Street's "Talked Themselves Into It" (http://www.mcstories.com/TalkedThemselvesIntoIt/index.html).)  Now, that said, Daffyd is obviously not in that kind of situation beyond the very first time.  The key transition took place when he decided to go out and pick up a random woman off the street at the end of the first part.  The realization that he's crossed a line in character development is subdued because we don't get any visibility into what he's thinking, only what he does.

Exactly!  Please, no "oh, I'm a terrible person, what have I done, boo hoo" scenes.

Of course, we don't know where Daphne's going to take this story, but if the cover art for the first two installments is any clue, and if Daphne's body of work as represented by all her short stories, MC movies and other comics is is a clue, "The Hidden Knowledge" is not going to end with Daffyd as a whiny little wimp boo-hooing about all the hot, sexy, pliant slaves that he has.  Instead it will probably end with him as a cheerfully unrepentant Master of a lovely harem.

I hope.

Anyway, I look forward to him MC'ing the other girls in the story.  Particularly the coworker--seriously, LOVED that sequence--and the blonde that walked by in the first scene of Part 2.

Again, I'm not looking for catharsis or Manasseh repentance.  You can have him progress in small stages.  Say it for a joke.  Fantasize about it.  Try it out on random strangers with increasing boldness.  Maybe use it to turn the tables on his ex--patch things up with her by making her a pliant thrall or even get revenge on her using some of the phrases in the book--and THEN progress to a seducer's paradise where he becomes a cheerful master with a large harem.  It just seems that Issue #2 (while very entertaing and exceptionally well-made) skipped a couple of those steps.  :-\

I love this story and the artwork as well.  I'm just curious to see if the main character is going to use any other spells in his book,  using his imagination, I'm sure he could bring about some other wild, wonderful, sexy, silly, fun, humiliating changes to the women he meets.  Going back to the views polls, possible BE? even?(not my thing but the wtf factor on a womans face is always fun).

This is really great so far!  I liked seeing the progression from Daffyd simply experimenting with his new abilities to using them with a purpose.  It really does seem like he's using the powers in an intriguingly insidious way, rather than instantly enslaving every new girl that wanders his way.  He's clearly toying with some of them, which is awesome to see!  Instant hypno-"zaps" can be pretty rewarding depending on the subject, but sometimes it's more fun to draw it out and get them a bit at a time.

One thing I really hope to see is how Daffyd might use some of his current slaves, particularly Kayleigh, against the women who haven't 'seen the light' yet.  Can he train this harem girls to speak the words too or does he need to speak them directly to someone?  I can't wait to see the next issue!

Could be because you've earned the praise. Keep up the great work...just do it faster! We want more hand drawn comics and we want them now! Faster, galley(proof) slaves, faster!

A moral person wouldn't use MC, PERIOD.
Exactly!  Please, no "oh, I'm a terrible person, what have I done, boo hoo" scenes.

I know these posts are a little old but I'd like to put in my two cents. It's not right to control someone, degrade them, beat them, humiliate them, etc... unless of course they ask for it. You seem to forget there are plenty of people into bondage, S&M, and a whole bunch of other kinky things. There have even been a few MCStories that have a good guy in control. The one I can think of off the top of my head would be the one where a guy's wife is an executive or something but is naturally submissive so every day she has to act strong and in charge and it was getting to her. So they decide to try hypnosis so when she's in lingerie she's her husband's slave. She gets to give up her control and he gets a sex slave, both know and are happy with the deal.

Sure the "hero" of this story isn't really what I'd consider a good guy but I still think there can be MC by good guys. Maybe if I ever finish one of my stories and post it we'd have another good example, the main guy is a good guy and has a harem of about 4 girls at this point. All of which asked for it because he wouldn't have done it otherwise.

I don't know why people feel compelled to go to forums about mind control and deliver lectures on morality.

I find it amusing that you cut off the last part of that sentience which implied morality is extremely subjective.

I clipped the only part that I care about, because I don't care about your morality, whether its subjective or not.  I certainly don't want to hear about it on a comic porn site.

Write your story about the "good guy" mind controller.  Maybe I'll read it.  But please don't blather on about right and wrong, because you are in exactly the wrong place for blathering on about right and wrong.
