Looks like Charolette will be put on the "Slave machine", but for what purpose, other than making her a submissive slave??

Can't wait to see how this story plays out D.

Great stuff!  Definitely enjoying all the attention paid to story, along with the weird unintentional but unavoidable "From Hell" vibe thrown in.  Not a criticism, but it's hilarious to think of how unattractive all those people would've been, really, in Victorian times.  Not a lot of L.A. gym memberships there.  :D

Not much sex this issue, obviously, but that's okay.  I wouldn't have minded a shot of the two enslaved girls at the beginning actually taking the guys' cocks in their mouths, nor a trigger of some sort, on the part of one of the men, making them do so.  The shot of them bending waist-wards, mouths open, was hot but a little peremptory.

Great story, though, my favorite after "The Hidden Knowledge" (do I have that name right?  too lazy to check).

Oss

Oh wow, this one piqued my interest.  There's clearly a lot of setup in this issue for something that will happen on the horizon and I can't wait to find out what it is!

My one wish is to see a little more about the machine and its actual process.  The first comic was a nice teaser to hint at its mysterious potential, but it would be great to linger in the laboratory(?) scene a bit longer and see how it actually changes a person.  It's like in a TV show or movie where they're right about to show the MC part and then they cut away leaving viewers like us going, "Aww...they skipped the good part..." :-P

I have no doubt we'll learn more though!  Keep up the great work and props to both Daphne for the story and PortalComic for the awesome artwork!

Plot's a little confusing.  Did the husband really kill himself?  Just what do the two MC guys want with Charlotte?  Anything other than the obvious?  What's the lawyer's story?  Trust that future installments will clear this up.

That is a superb question.

Hawke gives at least one reason in part 2...

Oh, he just has the hots for Evelyn. :)

As in all good things, quality takes time, and hand draqn comics take even longer, be patient folks, when it's done, we will all see the fine results and enjoy another chapter of this comic.

Yes definitely need more about how the machine works and how it affects the women.  For me the hottest part about all your comics is the process of change.

Daphne, looking forward to the next chapter of The Green Sign, to see just HOW the SLAVE MAKING machine works and who the next "customer" is going to be. ;) ;)

I just re-read this. What're the odds that it'll be revived? I hate loose ends... (just my OCD here... but it was looking like a rippin' tale) :0

Well, that, happily, was unexpected!  ;D

STILL one of my favorite unfinished tales...

I hate to harp on about unfinished stories but this one has now reached it's 10th anniversary since there has been any movement in it. I would have thought that over 48 and a half thousand viewings of this particular page would engender some interest in completing it.

It certainly looks as if it is going to be a complicated story from the first two episodes and the author realizing this may have simply abandoned it due to writers block, if so, perhaps someone else could finish it, I know this is not ideal but it is better than nothing.

All we can say is: There are a lot of reasons that a title might not be continued.

1. The writer gave up on it.
2. The artist moved on, and we decided it wasn't the right title to move to a different artist.
3. The audience reaction was not strong, and it wasn't a title that we felt strongly about to continue anyway.
4. Malignant influence of the moon.

We only have 52 slots a year to publish one of the main titles, so we do have to pick and choose sometimes.

So if I blow up the moon, it might start getting published again?

Got blown up years ago. Why do you think they faked the moon landings?

I am surprised that MCC releases uncompleted stories no book publisher or film producer would ever dream of doing this, they may offer an advance on a synopsis of a story as way of ensuring any rights to the completed story.

Perhaps the simple answer to the problem of those stories that are in a sort of limbo is to delete them from the catalogue completely and make an announcement to the effect, this will ensure future members will not raise questions re unfinished stories.

I'm really enjoying all of Song of Ice and Fire, too.

I must, at this point, ask you to drop this topic. It's rapidly moving from an inquiry to just badgering.

Gave up after book 4. I felt like it was descending into a sort of self parody. Can I recommend Guy Kay's Tigana as an alternative?
