I wasn't too sure about it the first time but after rereading the story a couple of times I've decided that I really like it. Thank you for that and for Unleashed, which I thought was awesome, and I really hope issue 2 of that (and this!) will not be too long coming Ms Moon (no relation to Buster, by any chance ;D?). And can I add that your artistry in SJI in particular is also fantastic. I actually don't think I've ever read that phrase, period. It makes me think of "Leave It To Beaver" or something of that time.
That being said, I think it does work to show him losing his cool, his "manly" mask beginning to slip. Maybe I'm misinterpreting, and it's just supposed to set the period as mid-to-late 50's, though. I tried to make some of their dialogue in the vein of a comedy romp so wanted their language to be reflective of that 1950's retro futuristic era. I guess my only complaint is I don't fully understand all the changes from the Summer Breeze options on the big board to what was selected under the guise of 'enhanced mods'.
