Saw one...

I'm guessing this won't be entirely effective.

I'm hoping this isn't a reference to the Iain Banks novel.

Although I did love that book.

No, those don't seem like they'd be very effective against blood magic or a monstrous summoning or transformation.  I'd like to take a moment to point out something amusing from the last issue.  I think Julian's comment is proof positive that Machiavelli was wrong (at least in the SJI-verse).  Love is better for installing loyalty than fear.  And that makes Julian's comment both true and quite humorous.  ;D

If the bullets just bounce off, hopefully they'll hit the loquacious Julian on the rebound.

Ah man. I hoped this was going to be resolved with MC, not gunplay.

That was a fantastic novel. Among my favorites.

According to panels 4 & 5, it seems they were just throwing bullets instead of firing them :)

Not to be that guy, but the back two thirds (the brass part, called the casing) doesn't get fired out of the gun.

It's high-tech caseless ammunition. Work with us here.

I'm gonna confess something.  There's a spectral blood magic monster here, and Caitlyn looks to be in real danger at the moment.  And yet, I'm at least as interested in what's happening below the belltower as I am in what's happening at the airport.;D ;)

I was going say same thing
the Brass or casing have the gun power and the preimer, its get eject out of the gun. the lead hits the target
I think there is a caseless gun, A Black power Guns in 1800's it's only one shot

same as taillight

so blood monster stop the bulits

If I knew anything I'd be that guy. I must admit for a while I thought the bullets were suspended on bits of string in panel 5 and I couldn't work that out at all. But I got there in the end. I'll stick with being that guy.

This is why comics tend to show ray guns. You show a real-life gun...

For extra credit, what model are they, and why is it reasonable that Caitlyn would happen to have the same model of gun as Einfríður?

Is it the gun they give you at Being Caught Off Guard school?

Or is it just very popular?

Something to do with the Canadian Air Force and the Icelandic Coast Guard issuing the same personal sidearm?  Isn't Cait's gun part of Dani's stash?  I have no idea on the gunmaker or model.  Steyer?

They appear to be Sig Sauer's.  Guessing them to be in the P225 - P226 line.

I assume Caitlyn's surname exists only to create the moniker C.Hess, but it is Germanic. And Einfriður has just flown in from Zurich, which the last time I checked was in Switzerland.

It's not an answer let alone the answer, but SIG is Swiss and Sauer is German.

may be the gun came from the desk and the one that Derek had.
Caitlyn took from Derek and put it in her back.
