I'm guessing this won't be entirely effective. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: mns_95125 on November 24, 2014, 01:53:10 pm I'm hoping this isn't a reference to the Iain Banks novel.

Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: jmundt29 on November 24, 2014, 02:55:53 pm No, those don't seem like they'd be very effective against blood magic or a monstrous summoning or transformation. I'd like to take a moment to point out something amusing from the last issue. I think Julian's comment is proof positive that Machiavelli was wrong (at least in the SJI-verse). Love is better for installing loyalty than fear. And that makes Julian's comment both true and quite humorous. ;D

Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: GodWilling on November 24, 2014, 03:30:37 pm Cherry Is Shot? Dead? If the bullets just bounce off, hopefully they'll hit the loquacious Julian on the rebound.Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: Haight on November 24, 2014, 04:23:26 pm Ah man. I hoped this was going to be resolved with MC, not gunplay.

Post by: abnmlguru on November 25, 2014, 02:15:04 am According to panels 4 & 5, it seems they were just throwing bullets instead of firing them :)
Not to be that guy, but the back two thirds (the brass part, called the casing) doesn't get fired out of the gun. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: Daphne on November 25, 2014, 02:16:32 am It's high-tech caseless ammunition. Work with us here.

Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: jmundt29 on November 25, 2014, 05:58:12 am I'm gonna confess something. There's a spectral blood magic monster here, and Caitlyn looks to be in real danger at the moment. And yet, I'm at least as interested in what's happening below the belltower as I am in what's happening at the airport.;D ;)

I was going say same thing the Brass or casing have the gun power and the preimer, its get eject out of the gun. the lead hits the target I think there is a caseless gun, A Black power Guns in 1800's it's only one shot same as taillight so blood monster stop the bulits Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: GodWilling on November 25, 2014, 11:30:09 am If I knew anything I'd be that guy. I must admit for a while I thought the bullets were suspended on bits of string in panel 5 and I couldn't work that out at all. But I got there in the end. I'll stick with being that guy.
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: Daphne on November 25, 2014, 11:32:44 am This is why comics tend to show ray guns. You show a real-life gun...
For extra credit, what model are they, and why is it reasonable that Caitlyn would happen to have the same model of gun as Einfríður? Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: GodWilling on November 25, 2014, 12:42:16 pm Is it the gun they give you at Being Caught Off Guard school?
Or is it just very popular? Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: jmundt29 on November 25, 2014, 02:44:24 pm Something to do with the Canadian Air Force and the Icelandic Coast Guard issuing the same personal sidearm? Isn't Cait's gun part of Dani's stash? I have no idea on the gunmaker or model. Steyer?
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: laguna85 on November 25, 2014, 07:32:54 pm see how I did
there two gun Browning 9X19 mm or colt m1911 (kuppler - Johannes ) took the gun from Julian Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: laguna85 on November 27, 2014, 12:56:16 pm well I must not right on the guns
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: pervagi on November 27, 2014, 11:37:13 pm They appear to be Sig Sauer's. Guessing them to be in the P225 - P226 line.

Question one answered! Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: GodWilling on November 29, 2014, 02:33:41 pm I assume Caitlyn's surname exists only to create the moniker C.Hess, but it is Germanic. And Einfriður has just flown in from Zurich, which the last time I checked was in Switzerland.
It's not an answer let alone the answer, but SIG is Swiss and Sauer is German. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: laguna85 on December 02, 2014, 05:55:43 pm why is it reasonable that Caitlyn would happen to have the same model of gun as Einfríður?

Caitlyn took from Derek and put it in her back. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 351: Use of Weapons. Post by: jmundt29 on February 10, 2015, 10:21:20 pm Was the second question ever answered?
