Title: Re: Startup Post by: Werdna on February 12, 2014, 07:53:18 am I like this one a lot. Fun story, great art, and William Pratt's authorship is always a good sign.
Title: Re: Startup Post by: jmundt29 on February 12, 2014, 08:51:31 am I don't know William Pratt. Maybe I'll get to know his work better. This strikes me as somewhat similar to Bigger. I do love the art, and I can understand the progression of his suggestions, but it seems to me that he progressed far down the road from "admirer who wants to stack the deck" to depersonalizing manipulator all in one issue. The prospect of seeing the threesome he proposes is an incentive to see the next issue, but our ignored IT guy has gone quite far down the Bertram route in one issue. As I say it's well done, the progression is understandable, and the lead-ins demonstrate that a lot of time passes during certain stages, but the result makes it seem like three issues in one.
My hope for a C.I. Bartowski/Jake Foley male lead will have to wait for another comic. Title: Re: Startup Post by: laguna85 on February 12, 2014, 09:38:54 am this have a form of Bertram and Stack Deck
Now he have two Hypnotic Concubines Title: Re: Startup Post by: Haight on February 12, 2014, 10:31:21 am Love the art style...
Title: Re: Startup Post by: Werdna on February 12, 2014, 10:49:20 am Quote I don't know William Pratt. I'm about to go off topic from this comic, but it's on topic to the author. Dude, you should check out his author page at mcstories. Sustained hotness combined with an eminently readable style. He has a few stories that redo some classic MC tropes that bring gripping plots and very funny developments along with teh pr0n. Example: dude summons succubus, and then proceeds not to have sex with her (but with everyone else) because the story is more about her and how she and other angels, fallen and not, deal with the universe and good and evil. Another example: hilarious take on a voice-operated Master PC that includes discussions about, say, McLuhan's theories from a literally perfect girl (who was pretty appealing before she was actually made perfect, and is still appealing because almost nobody notices her insane hotness). And "Ed" includes a murderous Care Bear, and it makes perfect sense in the plot. Plus, William Pratt is Canadian. Read as much as you can by him. ASAP. Title: Re: Startup Post by: Salanar on February 13, 2014, 01:13:04 am I found this posting after I posted in the "ad" forum post, so I'll just say here, thanks for an awesome new comic. Love the whole package and eagerly look forward the next installment.
Title: Re: Startup Post by: ResidentWeavil on December 04, 2014, 04:46:49 pm This was a good read. And the art as great.
I do agree with jmundt29 that this could have stretched into 2 issues. I think a few panels of her going under the first time would have made it better as well. But I do hope we see another story here. It seems that there is a lot more to tell. Title: Re: Startup Post by: scopes777 on September 28, 2015, 04:37:54 pm I would love to see similar art/story to this one...definitely one of my favorites on the site :)
