He looks a bit like he has a glass eye - but maybe the camera just caught him at an unfortunate moment. Or maybe all watchmakers end up with eyes like that. If he has arranged the circumstances that have brought Adrian here then possibly the plot has just thinned somewhat - or perhaps I mean the number of plots has been reduced.
