Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: mns_95125 on December 13, 2013, 01:42:23 pm Splash page? Could this be Claudia's long-delayed attempt to collect Danielle and the Watch? As I recall, she wanted Xenon to do it.
More ominously, with the announced brief holiday hiatus, a cliffhanger of some sort seems likely in the next four installments. Dani falling into Claudia/Zenon's clutches would qualify. Or maybe this is Q siccing the cops onto the Infirmary in an amazingly well/ill-timed raid for Pink Clouds. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: Werdna on December 16, 2013, 01:30:07 pm I wonder if this is the same person as the blonde in guest episode #2. The style of dress seems very similar, and it's certainly plausible.
New half-baked theory: we know Erin is ashamed of whatever transpired between her and Cherry. Assuming that is Cherry in g002, they certainly seemed touchy-feely, doing Dianic things together, and she seemed the most devastated of Erin's friends at the news she was going to Wilmot. Anyway, the theory: the use of such a powerful spell by Erin was somehow felt by Cherry, and she is following up with Erin to ... I don't know, punish her for revealing the secrets of their circle. ... What? I said it was half-baked. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: Werdna on December 18, 2013, 07:42:06 am Quote it suggests to me that her connection to the driver pre-dates her visit to Kearsarge. I quite agree. Clearly, Erin and Cherry have a past - one that Erin feels very strong guilt (in a very un-Erinlike way), which suggests to me a betrayal of some kind on Erin's part. Equally clearly, Cherry and BMW-man have some kind of relationship. Now back to pure speculation: I think there are forces at work that have identified Dani and Erin as being of particular significance, and they need to be removed or neutralized - hence the attack on Dani and the use of Cherry to 'get at' Erin, by - and I use this word advisedly - diminishing her, somehow. But I do feel that there are about 40 threads right now, and we're not even seeing the shape of the full tapestry, let alone its significance, so in the mean time, I'll enjoy posting rambling, insane theories and having them shot down. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: Werdna on December 18, 2013, 01:22:00 pm I hadn't thought the use of the singular was particularly significant; I had just thought that the only way to deal with Baron Samedi was one-on-one and to make it personal. But more food for thought, anyway.

Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: Werdna on December 18, 2013, 01:58:41 pm Interesting. I took Mallory's actions to be like the NATO doctrine - you know, an attack on one member of the alliance will be treated as an attack upon the whole. Except, in this case, the alliance is a harem of hot women, which is much more interesting.
I'd also note that Mallory seems to play a kind of 'maternal' role in the household (not as in being a mother, but kind of viewing the others as her responsibility), especially given that she's the most senior of them. (You know, 'queen bee' of SJI, the one with a real career, she seems to own the house, etc.) So I think she would take a threat to any part of the infirmary personally. But you've given me food for thought. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 251: A Woman Now Standing Post by: GodWilling on December 18, 2013, 02:09:19 pm .
