I have to say is What A gift ;D ;)

This does seem to resolve some of the outstanding questions -- in particular, whether Yves is an instigator or a victim.  At this point he's either being set up or he's a really good actor.

Let's take a step back.  What do we know?

• Somebody used Pink Clouds on Alex.
• Alex got a sample of Pink Clouds from somebody driving a Princess Pink delivery van.  She thinks it was from Yves, but Yves denies this.
• Alex used Pink Clouds on Katie and Caitlyn.
• Somebody wearing blue gloves used Pink Clouds on Alex and Katie outside the strip club.

Ockham's Razor suggests that it's the same 'somebody', i.e. that the person who gave Alex the Pink Clouds and set her up to think Yves did it is the same person who Clouded Alex and Katie later.  So who knows about Pink Clouds?  Yves and Q, obviously.  Jacqui.  Vik and Kanti.  Laura.  Whoever broke into Vik's lab and photographed his notes.  And Adrian, or at least I would have thought so based on his conversation with Laura in #184, except that here in #220 he doesn't seem to know what "this" is.  Pearl, potentially.  Anyone else?

Of those candidates, we can rule out Jacqui and Adrian out of sheer physical impossibility.  Laura lacks the motivation.  Yves looks unlikely at this point.  So that leaves Q, Vik, Kanti and the thief.  Of those, my money is on the thief, whoever that turns out to be.

Well, I hope everyone likes infodumps, because you've got two weeks of it coming. :)

So that would be four comics worth?  That's a lot of info!

We'll see if Adrian connects "this" to his earlier conversation with Laura.

I think the possibility of Vik's research being manipulated towards the Pink Clouds formula (or some variant of it) was raised almost before we learned that name (summer 2012).  I don't remember who brought it up, but that question was lost among a myriad of other interesting plot threads and lines of inquiry.

Vik discovered Pink Clouds before ever meeting Q--and Q-ball doesn't strike me as having the sort of funds to ghost-fund a study from prison.  Pearl showed up (at Deep Black Vinyl) almost the same instant that Laura became Vik's first test subject.  If Vik and Laura were being manipulated, it wasn't by those two (at least not to begin with).  I thought the most logical candidate (of the people we've met so far) was Yves.  I thought he might be trying to reverse or parallel engineer Pink Clouds to circumvent a legal ruling and make some cash.  But, he seems like a...well, as if he's being manipulated and is not malicious at this moment.

If Sawyer IS running a ring or using subliminals for his business, I suppose he could be choreographing things behind the scenes and funding Vik's study anonymously, but he doesn't give me that vibe.

If the Watch and perfume intersect, we could nominate the Kuplers since we know they're ruthless manipulators and sitting on an ocean of cash.

Is Pink Clouds addictive?

Unproven.  I think GW's demonstrating the wide array of possibilities still open.  PC could be addictive.  We don't have enough data yet.  The power of the shells could be habit-forming for both targets and wielder (though I hope Adrian doesn't get addicted to power).

Why don't you call her Pearl?  That's the name her mother gave her.  Presumably, that's the one on her birth certificate.

Yeah, personally my guess is that Pearl is behind all this.  Why?  Possibly because she has some ill will towards her mom, possibly she's nuts, possibly she's being influenced by Pink Clouds at all.  Q might be behind *her*, though.
