Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 175: Morning Glory Post by: jmundt29 on March 31, 2013, 11:44:30 am I was actually hoping either for Cait and Hitomi (who we haven't seen in a day) or for the splash page continuation of Amy and Hayley. Sometime soon we're going to have to discuss why Adrian got up and visited Rain. He could be legitimately going for music lessons, but what inspired him to do that now? Everyone was happy and satisfied, so he thought he'd use what he thought of as a lull to improve his musical or other skills? I honestly don't understand this, he doesn't strike me as a Miles Davis type who wouldn't thrive in structure of the big J. And I don't think Rain, whatever else she might be, is Charlene Parker. Thanks for the info on Jennifer. Will we be seeing her again?
Oh, random question--in the flashback where Adrian remembered unsuccessfully busking with Echo, there was a woman with a memorable red top who made a folding donation to the "hat." Is she just eye-catching scenery, or is she a named character? Was she an advance scout for the New York Harem? Will we be seeing her again? For context, with the rest of the audience this is 146 panel 3, green coat, red top, brown hair, dropping folding money into Adrian's guitar case. Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 175: Morning Glory Post by: Chettbaker on April 02, 2013, 02:35:00 am Memosas also typically consumed on new years day morning. And yes. no pop up text boo. I'm waiting for the perfume to be used and an off hand remark gets taken literally and hilarity ensues.
Title: Re: Saint James Infirmary 175: Morning Glory Post by: jmundt29 on April 02, 2013, 06:30:46 am Teasing us with what will be a splash page sometime in the future. Wow! :o :o ;D So, there really is no pop-up text yet. Do you miss the editorial wisecracks, or have we all agreed that lyrics that can be interpreted editorially are better because they provide more layers? ???
ETA--We're also having symptom crossover which is a little confusing. As far as I can gather #49, Vik's reengineered version of Pink Clouds has a headache (relatively mild and short) as a side effect after the trance-blackout passes. Like inhaling ammonia fumes, but nothing lasting or debilitating. The clocktower's transmissions stimulate libido and bring repressed urges to the surface, but the first stage of unearthing these is a day-long migraine (hence Marli's string of patients). The second phase appears to be lust fever (or to put it more clearly, strong lust accompanied by mild fever). We don't know what the third phase is yet--if there is one.
