This could go a lot of different places.

We could be waking up in Mallory's room with our happy trio.  We could be exploring another morning of belltower effects.  We could have the identity of the robber definitively revealed.  Or Laura could make Vik rip his own face off by bouncing in elated over her date with Adrian.  The easiest line to draw is Q talking to the research team about who they think could have broken into their lab (even if he is just playacting).  I actually am having to reconsider my notion of him, though.

My guess.  Hey!  What does this do!?  *!!!~BOMF~!!!*

Or.  That wasn't just green dye that Person X put in everyones Saint Patrick's Day Beer at the Pub!

That might be an interesting idea, but you have to remember we're still in about the third week of January in SJI time.  Pink dye for Valentine's Day in the next few months might be an interesting idea.  After all, it is supposed to be a holiday of love as currently celebrated.

MIT?  Q has hidden depths.  I like the bit about MIT as a 'safety school'.

Right conclusions:  Adrian is behaving recklessly and conspicuously as the master of a mind-controlled harem, and Laura is one of that harem.  Wrong everything else to arrive at those conclusions.

Finally, more and more people are realizing something's up with Adrian:  Vik, Kanti and Q; Claudia and Derek (well, they know Dani's involved, and that Adrian is involved with her); Hayley; possibly the waitress Jacqui spoke to, who saw Adrian out with Erin.

My fearless prediction:  this will all be resolved in a hilarious, complicated, and sexy way in issue #384.

I like the safety school bit too.  Did Quentin want to be a member of the first co-ed class out of Wilmot, like Pat Cavanaugh?

I...it seems that Q's concern is genuine but I'm having a tough time reading his face and gestures describing the "in public with a bunch of women," thing.

Also, he's being selective with the truth. He's right about being under the radar, but it doesn't seem that he's told Kanti that he took part of the sample out for a test drive on her.

Additionally, I see the wheels turning in Laura's head, but neither situation she's been involved in has the correct timeline.  They didn't even compose and test Sample #49 until after The Night of The Watch.

She seems to believe that Adrian somehow got the ingredients for #49 and used it on his housemates and on her (even though the programming didn't happen with him in the room).  Ugh.

People are noticing Adrian, but they're noticing him with individual women, not a bunch.

Okay.  I just checked.  The waitress/performer at Sawyer's is Brandi.  She saw Adrian with Erin at Sharkey's.

Hayley has the whole list, but she's only seen Adrian with her sister and heard word of mouth about a couple.

The odd thing is that Adrian isn't really flaunting any of this.  He's not setting his schedule.  Any group activities are confined to the SJI itself (so far).  Was anything actually taken in the "break-in?"  Q's holding the files that look like they got swiped.  Did he break in, look at them himself, and then call Vik and Kanti to talk things over?

Well, not deliberately.  But he's not exactly hiding it either.  Amy seemed enthusiastic to tell her sister about all his conquests and how happy she was about it; it must already have been weird to Hayley that Marliese's girlfriend had been known to hook up with him; Jacqui spoke about her relationship to him with Brandi, as you point out; Caitlyn extolled Adrian's virtues to the cheer team; he's been seen in public with Erin and Amy, separately; Vik was already suspicious of him (rightly: Adrian basically stole his girlfriend); and, though we might not know the significance of this since we haven't seen Pearl/Miriam in a while, Erin was pleased to let her know that Adrian and her mom (!) were together, and that, well, Jacqui was Erin's boss, so that was cool.  Kanti knew enough about who he was to wonder why he was out with Erin when he was dating Laura; and, of course, Derek, Claudia and Zenon all know at least something about what's going on as well.

Much of that is the result of his not knowing he actually had a harem until the night of the watch, or possibly after Rain spoke to him and he actively claimed them as his, but he hasn't gone to any lengths afterward.

I think pictures were taken, so it wouldn't look as though anything happened.  I think Vik, Kanti and Q are trying to make sure that knowledge of the formula doesn't get out, not knowing that it already has.  Yves still seems the most likely, since Q told him about what Vik and Laura had inadvertently discovered.

I have a dumb question.  If Yves really did stage the break-in to check the research, might he have been attempting the same sort of security (for selfish reasons) that Q seems to be attempting for...less selfish ones?  I mean, they've stumbled onto a patented formula that's known to be dangerous and are basically opening his company up to an ocean of liability with very little control and..as Q has indicated, a very tenuous chain of evidence if you wanted to go after a specific culprit.  Could he be trying to sabotage the research to prevent a legal and financial malestrom for himself and his boss(es)?

There are some crucial elements missing from your Sawyer theory.  Why would he care?  Also, how would he find out?

On the first one, Sawyer appears content with his financial and social position and with his personal life (though we haven't seen much of it, yet).  There's nothing for him to gain by sticking his nose in here.  Even if he had a very concrete, reachable goal, he has no way of finding out.  He and Yves don't confide in each other.  Yves doesn't have a trusted lieutenant who could get drunk or distracted by private dance at Sawyer's establishment.  And Sawyer doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to commit random mayhem for kicks or as part of a fishing expedition simply to alleviate boredom.

But he's not struggling or covetous, or looking to expand his empire.  He's very comfortable with his dapper threads, his club, and his Hans.  For the motive to be money and power, the guy has to want more money and power than he has.

He knows Yves just as well as he knows Q, but I don't think it's a friendly relationship.  I just have a different read so far.
