Really?  Querek and his limited imagination had to come rain on the parade? ::)  The art is awesome, the story is engrossing--but he's just not interesting.

I'll be perfectly happy to find out I jumped the gun and instead of more fun with Querek and Sample 49, we have either

1. A flashback to Laura and Vik in the Lab,

2. The consequences of that antiquated broadcast machine, or least probably

3. Adrian blindfolded temporarily for interaction with Caitlyn after satisfying Dani.

"Single-Blind Testing" sounds like a compromised, improperly conducted experiment--which leads back to Sample 49, which seems to lead back to Querek (who currently has the sample).

I am right that there'd be no reason for Erin to know Raven's...intimate habits, so that comment is a joke...a riposte to Adrian's comment?

Yeah...good friends or gals who live together I can see talking about that--Erin sees Raven rarely and the most important connection between them is Raven's attraction to Erin (which, presumably, they haven't discussed yet).  This doesn't seem like a normal causal conversation topic between acquaintances.  Unless...Is Raven a former SJI tenant (during the year of the mystery emasculated man and Derek)? ???  Or, could it have come up when Erin was griping about the mystery emasculated man?

It's not been established in the book, but I'll say definitively no. As GodWiling correctly points out, they'd have had to get her out of there with dynamite given her crush on Erin.

But, she discarded it before her lesson on that new apparatus which happened before Adrian came home, before she changed into her cheerleading uniform.  And I think the question is mostly about Mallory's hand signals which seem to be about something other than the game.

As to our time orientation--Thanks for the update ;D.  Seeing that dinner play out should be very interesting.

I don't know about you, but if there was a big red praying mantis head lying around my living room, the temptation to play with it would be irresistible.
