Oh well, I suppose the attractive young couple in the background is some recompense...I'd wondered if Klara's parroting in the previous page was a typo, but it seems to be a thing. But 1014 onwards appears to be the story that Miriam was asking to hear in 999. It's being told to her by Jacqui and Adrian. I think Adrian already knew this story before he came to Kearsarge. |
