That would open up a bunch of interesting conflicts for Adrian. Does he respect Erin's current feelings even though he knows they aren't real? Does he use his control over her to keep her from the man she now loves? Does he violate his principles and use mind control to make Erin love him again? If he does, what makes him different from Aiken, and why would Erin's love for him be any more valid than her love for Aiken? It probably won't happen, but it's interesting to think about. I really REALLY dislike the idea of the split as that's needless torture for Erin. But also because I haven't seen anything loveable in The Smirk yet. The luckiest programmer in the world is far more likeable. And that's saying something. |
