Julie wakes up from a very strange dream... or was it?

 ;D I've been waiting to see what would come out today. Worth the wait. Beyond Rubies is headed
in a great direction. Where did he get the necklaces from? Maybe a deal with the ....I like the story no matter.

I have read it twice and I still don't know who Chopsticks Hair Girl is.  And I'm not sure who the blonde at the end is--is that one of the two women Julie was talking to in the first comic?

And it's disappointing that we can't download this one.

And I too hope the next one isn't five months away again.

Otherwise--home run.  Just an excellent comic all the way around.  Great story, great art, serial recruitment, a harem--fantastic work.  Keep it up.

Her name is Miri. Julie has lunch with her and puts on a necklace in image 4.
She's the one changing in the middle boxes in the last 4-5 frames.

Chopstick girl is "Miri".  She's introduced on the 3rd page and then her sequences are the two small middle panels from p8-p11.  It might be a tad hard to see her hair turning black, but her change is a bit more radical than the others.
"Blonde" is Catherine from issue 1 (she appears early on page 2 in one panel of Andrea's flashback.)  Nick even says he's going to see her the page before she's reintroduced.

As far as the amount of time between issues:  there's nothing to be done about it, sadly.  They take as long as they take.
If it helps, the turnaround on this issue was much faster than issue one.

So I was right about the blonde girl, fabulous.

You should take griping about the glacial pace of updates as a compliment.  If it were a bad comic nobody would care, but along with "The Hidden Knowledge" it's one of the best comics on the site.  Well done.

I personally don't care if it takes 4-6 months to get the next chapter done, with your talent, take ALL the time you need, just keep this comic coming Harry!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Excellent style on this issue, and very hot.

The intercut panels were slightly hard to keep track of in places
(maybe that technique works better in film?), but in all other
respects this was fantastic.  ;D

I must agree though - of all the possible updates, this one SCREAMS
for a downloadable version.

Oh, I'm sure we'll see what happens to Miri...

I plan to keep the comics coming for as long as Daphne is willing to put up with me, but I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention that it wouldn't look half as good without waranghira on colors and Topper's lettering.

Yeah, the intercut panels were tricky. 
I think they worked well for the close up shots and started to become harder to read when I had to show more.
It got Miri to where she needed to be, so it all worked out.

I ask because the pattern seems pretty irregular.  The latest "Bearing Gifts" is available for download.

What's the difference then?  Why is "Bearing Gifts #4" available for download?

I sure hope we can download "Hidden Knowledge #5" when it comes out.  Beyond just being a nice feature, downloading fixes that problem with the wide panel comics.  The "Bearing Gifts" series has these big center panels where the girls are getting enslaved with one person's dialogue on one side and one on the other side, but the panels are too wide to see both at the same time.

We're redoing our PDF generation process; some of the pieces were done earlier. We hope to have them available again soon for download.

I'm putting in my vote right now for a #3 issue in the near future.. please?  ;D

For me, this one is a close second after "The Hidden Knowledge". Still, I can't wait to see the next chapter! ;)

Trust me when I say its a really tough call for me. Your artwork is some of the hottest I have ever seen. So that's why "Beyond Rubies" is also high on my list. :p

Though I will say that DotHL will probably rank higher on my list than THK once it starts up. ;)
