New filing system?  Does Rain have siblings or cousins on staff at the library?  Muses did venture into literature.

So, it's not just Ravella genes.  There's another family (or a slice of one) full of gorgeous, time-resistant women.  Or is she one of Jacqui's relatives?  An aunt (mother's youngest sister) or distant cousin?  Did she attract Jakob's attention back in the day?

That's definitely something I wonder about with these women... and if they have any residual programming.

That did seem like the next question, since that poster seems to be from about the time Jakob was a guest lecturer/parasite on the campus.

The Voodoo stuff is a Southern tradition. Do you think it's a Wilmot tradition too?

My thoughts is that she was implying that Mallory appreciates women. (obviously as she was lesbian and now Bi)

I kind of saw it as a sexual thing between the two women, because it's a picture of herself, right?

Also, the period setting for the photos might be an homage to a different time period.  Mermaid shows go back to the '20s, but they have and do exist up to the present moment.  Maybe the art was a mock-up to harken back to the roots of the acts, and not a reference to her age...though it would be interesting if the Head Librarian were nearly a century old and still a knockout.  Is it possible that Mr. Ravella (whoever he was) married into a branch of her family?
